My Winter Holiday Diary

This winter holiday was one of the most unforgettable experiences I have ever had. I spent most of my time at home, but it wasn’t boring at all. I had a lot of time to relax and do things that I usually don’t have time for.

During the first few days, I helped my parents with housework. I cleaned the living room, washed the dishes, and even cooked a simple meal. It was a bit tiring, but I felt proud when I saw how clean everything looked. My mom said I had become more responsible.

In the middle of the holiday, I went on a short trip with my family to visit my grandparents in the countryside. The weather was cold, but the air was fresh and the scenery was beautiful. We played games, ate traditional food, and talked about old memories. It was a warm and happy time together.

I also used some of my free time to read books and watch movies. I chose a few English novels that I had been wanting to read for a long time. Reading them helped me improve my language skills, and I enjoyed the stories very much. At night, I often watched some English shows or videos to practice my listening.

One of the most interesting things I did was learning to cook a new dish. I tried making hot pot with my sister. Although the first attempt wasn’t perfect, we both laughed a lot and had fun. It was a great way to spend time with family and learn something new.
