Once upon a time, in a quiet little village nestled among the rolling green hills, there lived a sweet and kind-hearted girl named Little Red Riding Hood. She was called this because she always wore a beautiful red cloak her grandmother had made for her.
One sunny morning, Little Red Riding Hood's mother asked her to take some delicious homemade treats to her grandmother who lived on the other side of the forest. "Be careful, my dear," said her mother. "Stay on the path and don't talk to strangers."
With a cheerful nod, Little Red Riding Hood set off through the woods. The path was lined with tall trees that swayed gently in the breeze, and birds sang merrily from their branches. As she walked, she met a cunning wolf who had been lurking nearby.
"Good day, Little Red Riding Hood!" said the wolf, trying his best to look friendly. "Where are you going all by yourself?"
"I'm going to see my grandmother," replied Little Red Riding Hood innocently. "She lives just beyond those trees."
"Oh, what a wonderful idea!" exclaimed the wolf. "Why don't you pick some flowers along the way? I'm sure your grandmother won't mind if you're a bit late."
Thinking it sounded like fun, Little Red Riding Hood wandered off into the meadow to gather pretty wildflowers. Meanwhile, the wolf dashed ahead, reaching Grandma's house first. He knocked softly at the door.
"Who is it?" asked Grandma from inside.
"It's me, your granddaughter, Little Red Riding Hood," lied the wolf, disguising his voice.
Grandma opened the door, and the wolf quickly gobbled her up! Then he climbed into her bed, waiting for Little Red Riding Hood to arrive.
When Little Red Riding Hood finally reached the house, she noticed something odd about her grandmother. Her voice sounded strange, and her eyes looked unusually large.
"What big ears you have, Grandmother!" said Little Red Riding Hood.
"The better to hear you with, my dear," replied the wolf.
"And what big eyes you have!"
"The better to see you with, my child."
"And what big teeth you have!"
"The better to eat you with!" growled the wolf, leaping out of bed to chase Little Red Riding Hood.
Just then, a brave woodsman passing by heard Little Red Riding Hood's cries for help. He rushed into the house and rescued her just in time. The wolf ran away, never to be seen again.
From that day on, Little Red Riding Hood learned to follow her mother's advice and always stay safe on her journeys.
The end.
